This week's learning (12/1/'08)
Students will start the week by reading an essay. We will continue to use the essay in the week. We will analyse the paragraphs and how the writing as a whole achieves its purpose. Students will continue to do work on their class novels. On Friday we will have a vocab test.
This week's homework will include some language based activity to do with class vocabulary words. Students will have individual and class reading to do. All students will be expected to review their vocabulary words.
*Please note that most homework is practice of something covered in class. Because students have differing learning needs, homework assignments may vary. For details of the assignment that is expected from your individual student please see their agenda book.
*If your student is off school, they can be completing long term project work. When the student returns to school, I will be happy to go over what we covered in class and then give out that day’s homework to the student.
*Most weeks I am available after school on a Monday, from 2.30 until 3.30 to give extra help to any students who need it.
