This week's learning (3/8/'10)

        We will start the week learning about our new vocabulary words. Students will do some work as part of their units on persuasion or poetry. Later in the week we will do some work in preparation for the MCAS tests the students will take later this month. Students will focus on how to answer an open response question, and they will review their own work We will spend some time reading and working from our class novels. On Friday we will go to the library for book exchange.

    *Please note that most homework is practice of something covered in class. Because students have differing learning needs, homework assignments may vary. For details of the assignment that is expected from your individual student please see their agenda book.

    *If your student is off school, they can be completing long term project work. When the student returns to school, I will be happy to go over what we covered in class and then give out that day’s homework to the student.

 

    *Most weeks I am available after school on a Monday, from 2.30 until 3.30 to give extra help to any students who need it.
